Spring 2025 Distribution Round

In December 2024, we received $10,000 from the Youth Empowerment Fund (YEF). With support from our fiscal sponsor, Friends of SOTA, we enter our Spring 2025 Distribution Round where aim to provide students from underserved elementary schools in San Francisco and Oakland with educational STEM packages. Based on student and teacher feedback, we revamped out packages so each one includes:

Children's book about neuroscience (Unlocking the Wonders: Ellie's BRAIN Adventure)
Geometric tangram
Rocket pop up toy
Brain stress reliever
Magnifying glass
Optical glass triangular prism
STEM stickers
Tote bag with our Operation STEM logo

Schools Provided

Summer Institute for Families

On June 7, 2025, Operation STEM provided 98 STEM packages to students at the Summer Institute for Families hosted by the SFUSD District English Learner Advisory Committee (DELAC).

On May 23, 2025, Operation STEM presented to two classes and provided 50 STEM packages to students at the EnCompass Academy Elementary School in Oakland.

Annual Summer Literacy Fair

On May 17, 2025, Operation STEM provided 184 STEM packages to students at the Annual Summer Literacy Fair hosted by the SFUSD District English Learner Advisory Committee (DELAC).
